All Cannings Longbarrow
The Druid Order of Avebury were asked to welcome the Solstice Sun at the All Cannings Long Barrow by Tim Daw on 22/6.
What a beautiful morning too, as we Gathered to call the Awen. The magic of the Long Barrow could be felt after the 3rd call of the Awen, we all stood in silence feeling the vibrations, permeate each of us... in honour of the ancestors of now. We could not speak, but just feel the energy of the landscape.
Inside the Long Barrow we held Ceremony, where prayers were offered and the mead circulated. Again, we called the Awen in the Chamber, our voices amplified and the vibrations echoed. Beautiful
We then admired and blessed the Sacred Oak, which has been gifted and walked among the wild flowers in abundance along the top of the Barrow.
